Having seen the inside of the property, construction and housing industry up close, we’ve seen how the cogs turn. Our philosophy and commitment to integrity is not just for our clients, but to inspire our sector and contribute to ethical ways of working. We also give back to our sector through professional mentoring, including at subsidised rates through our Rare Foundation in as many cases as we can commit to. It’s our way of paying it forward, and helping the upcoming generation of industry professionals.

We measure our impact on the world through our social and environmental sustainability, and we pledge to continue advancing our sustainability journey. Just like for our clients, we want our impact on the world to be positive, and one of the advantages of being an SME (Small to Medium-sized Enterprise) is that we have a huge amount of control over how we do this.

We do not follow a traditional, profit-dominated business model, and we offer client protection and assurance beyond anything we’ve seen elsewhere. This includes loyalty packages for our clients, and whether you’re an individual person who doesn’t know much about property, or a large company turning a profit, we don’t take advantage of anyone coming to us for help.

For our business clients, we know that reputation is everything. When we are instructed to work on your behalf, we represent your brand and we take this seriously. We are exceptionally professional, and our work for you will always be done in a way that preserves this. We will never share our findings or discuss matters in or around the property, and our reports or any documents and information we share with you will be written professionally, evidence-based, and suitable for legal proceedings, subject access requests, or other potential viewing.

In doing so, you support domestic abuse survivors, people who have fallen victim to rogue contractors in the property and construction industry, and people in financial hardship who need to help with disabled adaptations and home design solutions for a better life. We are excited to announce that Rare Property & Design has adopted The Halo Code, the UK's first Black hair code. No Black employee should have to change their natural or protective hairstyle in order to thrive at work.
