We also deliver routine services such as fire door compliance checks, stock condition surveys, and all other aspects of general building investigation and surveying matters.

Surveying Services

Our RICS Chartered Building Surveyors take care of property and building investigations, and all aspects of building surveying and building pathology. We provide forensic analysis of building defects for property owners to help them stay compliant, respond effectively to legal matters, and protect and maintain their assets.
Our focus is on safeguarding you from unnecessary costs and remedial works, and reducing the impact of claims and losses, while balancing safety and quality in the face of the increasing spotlight on building and resident safety.

Housing disrepair

We specialise in housing disrepair, and have developed a unique method exclusively for registered housing providers, social landlords, and legal firms representing landlords or tenants, to effectively respond to and resolve housing disrepair. We are highly qualified and accredited, but it is our decades of  practical experience spanning the breadth of the property, construction and housing industry that gives us our  edge.

There have been nearly 17,000 disrepair claims in the past five years, with more than £55.1m paid out. Legal costs nearly doubled, while the number of cases increased by 132%

Fire Door Compliance

Fire doors save lives, and are essential to building safety and keeping people safe in the event of a fire.  Compliant fire doors can stop fires spreading through the building, leading to less property damage and importantly give people more time for escape or rescue.
The Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 came into force in January 2023 and legally require responsible persons for all multi-occupied residential buildings with storeys over 11 meters in height to undertake quarterly checks on all fire doors (including self-closing devices) in the common parts, and undertake annual checks on all flat entrance doors that lead to the building's common parts.
Our Dip FD and RICS Chartered Surveyors are members of the Institute of Fire Safety Managers, and both qualified and experienced in completing fire door compliance checks, equipping building owners and managers with everything they need to achieve and maintain compliance.

Party Wall Services

As leading experts on Party Wall matters, we help property owners navigate the Party Wall Act and produce a compliant Party Wall Award. Our RICS Chartered Building Surveyors have completed near a thousand party wall awards over three decades. Party Wall matters range in complexity and can apply to buildings, gardens, and spaces within a property or land boundary, and we’ve dealt with every kind of case.

Buildings & Surveying Portfolio

We have carried out hundreds of building and surveying services on behalf of commercial clients, social sector clients, and individual clients. Take a look at just a few examples in our portfolio, or get in touch to have a chat with us about our experience and how we can help you.

Understandably, many clients do not want to promote their experiences with disrepair, defects, property and building issues, or speak publicly on matters of litigation or other sensitive issues relating to their building or homes. Out of respect for our clients’ privacy, we have taken care not to make any parties identifiable through our real-life case studies, including showing any photos of featured homes or buildings. However, our client testimonies and reviews offer a more personal touch and are only ever published with consent from the client.
